I have been painting since I got out of the Army in 2005. I remember wanting to draw comics when I was a kid and I didn’t exactly develop marketable job skills in the military so when I got out I decided to go to school for art. I fell in love with painting almost immediately. JakeDog was actually the name of my dog and best friend of 14 years. He was my first and greatest muse and can be seen in many of my paintings (the orangey blonde cocker spaniel.) I’ve done the occasional commission over the years but most of my work has been as gifts to the people in my life. I’ve been a Dad since December of 2018 and it’s brought new perspective into my life and re-aligned my priorities. I’m hoping to “go pro” by taking on more commissions and eventually selling prints of some of my work. Feel free to contact me if interested.
